Account deletion
How to request deletion of your Forge account, what we remove, and what we may retain for legal, billing, or security reasons.
How to request deletion
You may request deletion of your Forge account and associated personal data. This page explains how to start that process during public beta. Final retention schedules should be confirmed with counsel.
If you are signed in, open Account settings and use Request account deletion. That records a request for our team — your account is not deleted instantly by the button.
After you sign in, use /settings/account to submit a request.
If you cannot access the app, email support@alphasynthai.com from your account email with the subject “Account deletion request”.
See also our Privacy policy.
What we delete or anonymize
Subject to legal exceptions below, deletion typically covers:
- Account data — authentication identifiers, email, and account-level settings tied to your user id.
- Profile data — public profile fields (username, bio, avatar, links, skills).
- Project data — titles, descriptions, metadata, visibility, and related records for projects you own on Forge Web.
- Uploaded media — cover images, screenshots, and other files stored for your projects and profile.
- Comments and social activity — comments you authored, votes, follows, and in-app notifications tied to your account where policy allows removal.
- Forge Desktop — local project files on your device are not deleted by an account deletion request; remove them manually. Cloud-side desktop feedback or analytics linked to your user id is handled per our retention rules.
What we may retain
- Legal, billing & security: Records we must keep to comply with law, process chargebacks, prevent fraud, enforce terms, or protect rights and safety (for example Stripe billing history).
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify you.
Processing time
We aim to review requests within 30 days. Complex cases may take longer; support will confirm by email. You may cancel a pending request by contacting support before processing completes.
