Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Forge collects when you use the website and Forge Desktop, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how AlphaSynth AI (“we”) processes personal data in connection with Forge — Forge and Forge Desktop. It is written for public beta transparency and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before reliance in regulated markets.
We use personal data to provide and improve Forge, authenticate users, process payments, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, comply with law, and communicate about the service. We do not sell your personal data. Service providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
Account & profile data
When you register, we collect identifiers such as email address, authentication metadata, and profile fields you choose to provide (for example username, bio, avatar, and links). We use this to operate your account, display your public profile where enabled, and communicate service-related messages.
Billing & payment data
Subscriptions and credit purchases are handled by Stripe. Stripe processes payment card and billing details according to its privacy policy. We receive limited billing metadata (such as customer id, plan, invoice status, and purchase history) to provision credits and manage your subscription. We do not store full card numbers on Forge servers.
Authentication (Supabase)
We use Supabase for authentication and session management. Supabase may process IP address, device/browser signals, and session tokens needed to sign you in securely and maintain logged-in state on the website and in connected clients.
AI requests & project context
When you use AI features on the web or in Forge Desktop, we process prompts, selected file excerpts, project metadata, generation settings, and outputs needed to provide the feature. This data may be sent to our servers and to third-party AI providers under agreements that restrict use to providing the service. Do not submit secrets or personal data you are not permitted to share.
Forge Desktop telemetry
Forge Desktop may send product analytics or install/version events when enabled — for example app version, platform, crash summaries, or feature usage — to help us improve stability during beta. Where optional analytics exist, they are described in-app or in release notes. Desktop feedback you submit voluntarily may include diagnostic details you choose to attach.
Local files on your device
Project files on your computer remain local unless you use features that upload, sync, deploy, or send context to the cloud. Forge Desktop does not continuously upload your entire workspace by default. You control which folders you open and which actions trigger network requests.
Data retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you request account deletion, we follow the process on the account deletion page. Some records (for example billing and security logs) may be kept longer where required by law.
Your rights & requests
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@alphasynthai.com from your account email. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. EU/UK users may also lodge complaints with their supervisory authority. [Legal review: add registered entity address and DPO contact if applicable.]
